“I think the first time my family felt like Canada was home was when they visited the popular places in Canada and got to know their home better.”

Personally, I have not witnessed or experienced any case of anti-immigration hate speech. I know it is becoming a very prevalent situation across Canada and the US however. Both of my parents are immigrants, both moving from India to Canada to start their lives and a family. For my dad, one of his hardships was trying to find a job and trying to bridge the gap between his education and finding a job. So he went to college so that he would have the qualifications to find a stable job in Canada. I think the first time my family felt like Canada was home was when they visited the popular places in Canada and got to know their home better.
