“I’ve been told to go back to china, when I was born here…”

Racism and anti-immigration hate is a real issue, being born looking different makes me a victim of the dominant ethnic class.

My parents had it even worse, their English was never fluent, so that became a barrier for them to express themselves in any argumentative encounter. I was born here as a 1 generation Canadian, my parents immigrated over 20 years before I was born. They had to get use to the culture and norms of the country. The hardest to deal with was the social injustice among a minority class of citizens.

Canada became their home as soon as they adapted to the culture and found a sustainable way to maintain a living.
